This is a fantastic article. My case worker at my job agency was talking about this today. Often we get caught up in the "urgent" things - the things facing us right now, but we ignore the important things that need to be done. I need to spend more time on what's important. An example is this - I was asked to create a poster (for free by the way), and once I said yes, there was a deadline to do it by. It seemed "urgent" because a demand was put on me, but what was actually necessary for me to be doing, was working on a lot of important things in my life, but I chose the urgent thing because of the pressure put on me.

Wow - such thorough notes! I'd love to here how you've applied these things to your own life over the past six months or so.

For me the 3 most important points from this book were:
1. Cure Yourself of Excusitis
2. The “How am I thinking?” Checklist
3. The four leadership principles

hey! thx for the notes wanted to read the book for a long time. it seems a good read although there is a lot of the same stuff as in every success book. think big and in success terms, use affirmations, act successful, have high standards and dress well...be with great people not loosers. what was the best or most important thing or two you liked most?cheers

Sehr geehrter Herr Unger,
